What to know before you enquire.

Photos can help explain a request, but they do not confirm seam allowance, fabric condition or the full work needed. Use the form for availability, then confirm the fitting location, scope and quote separately. No fixed fitting count or price list is assumed.

01The starting point

Questions about the fit itself.

A gown can need different changes at the neckline, waist and skirt. Describe where it pulls, gaps or feels too long. Ask what the seams and design allow before deciding on taking in, letting out or new support.

The guide on resizing explains these limits in more detail.

02Fit & construction

Questions about work, price and time.

A quote should identify the changes it covers. Ask about lining, skirt layers, detail work and any separate bustle or pressing request. The fitting plan depends on that scope and the available schedule. Use the cost and timeline pages to prepare your questions without assuming a standard package.

03The details

Questions about the enquiry and appointment.

The form accepts contact details and an optional photo. It shows success only after the sending service accepts the enquiry. That status does not book a fitting or confirm the price. Wait for the actual appointment arrangements before travelling or treating a date as reserved.

A few things to know

A few questions before you enquire.

These answers explain the process and limits. Details for your own outfit must be confirmed after assessment.

What should I bring to a fitting?

Bring the gown, planned shoes, undergarments and any separate piece that affects the fit. Ask about accessories or an overskirt when the appointment is confirmed.

How many fittings will I need?

That depends on the gown and work. Ask which checks are needed for your own dress rather than rely on a fixed count.

What affects the alteration cost?

The changes, fabric, layers and details affect the scope. Ask for those items to be clear in the quote before comparing prices.

Can a dress be taken in or let out?

The seams, spare fabric and earlier work determine the options. A particular size change cannot be assumed from the label or a photo.

Does hemming include a bustle?

No. Hemming changes skirt length, while a bustle lifts part of the train. Ask for each requested item to be included in the scope.

Can I ask about a gown bought elsewhere?

Yes. Explain where it came from and any earlier work you know about. The dress still needs its own assessment.

Is rush work available?

Send your deadline and the proposed changes. Do not rely on a same-day or express fitting until a date has been agreed.

Can I enquire for the whole wedding party?

Yes. List the people, outfits and changes needed. Ask who can attend and agree the dates first.

Does an enquiry confirm a booking?

No. The appointment, location, scope and quote need separate agreement. Success only confirms acceptance by the sending service.

Are the photographs client results?

No. They are generated editorial concepts, not proof of completed work, staff identities or studio premises.
